The NJPHA is pleased to announce the

$1,000 NJPHA SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded annually to a current member of the NJPHA High Score Awards program who is attending a college or university with a riding program and who is participating in that program.

• Candidates must have been High Score Awards program members for show years 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

• Candidates must submit a cover letter with your name, address, age, the name of the college or university you are attending and the name and telephone number of the head of the riding program in which you are participating.

• Attached to the cover letter, candidates must submit an essay of no more than 500 words. The title of the essay is "My Best Day Riding and My Worst Day Riding and Why".

• Cover letters and essays must be submitted to:

Letters and essays must be received no later than December 1. Applicants may apply for this scholarship every year during their college career. Previous scholarship recipients are no longer eligible.

A committee will review the essays. The winner will be notified and an announcement will be made on the NJPHA web site, njpha.net, and published in the NJPHA publication, The Pitchfork. The committee's decision is final. All letters and essays become the property of the NJPHA.

The scholarship will be awarded in January, 2007.

This scholarship program is not open to children of professional members of the NJPHA.
